What Dictates Our Online Preowned Vehicle Prices?

Two factors have recently contributed significantly to our online preowned inventory pricing strategy, online preowned store fronts and third-party price ranking tools.
Certification and reconditioning fees have become standard add-on amounts to online preowned vehicle prices in our metro-market area; due largely to online preowned store fronts that offer vehicles for sale without reconditioning them or offering reconditioning services as an option, if at all. While most dealerships in our area charge an average amount in their price disclaimers, we offer anyone interested in a preowned vehicle we have listed for sale the reconditioning amount and the Repair Order associated with the vehicle of interest.
Third-party price ranking tools were designed to inform online shoppers whether or not a vehicle of interest is considered a high price, fair price, good price or great price compared to the other comparably equipped same make, same model, same trim-level, same optioned vehicles listed for sale. However, most of these price ranking tools do not account for reported damage, ownership type (rental vehicles, personal lease, personal finance), current vehicle condition, service history or added reconditioning costs.
Because of these two pricing factors, all preowned vehicle prices are plus tax, tag, title, registration, and $1199 dealer doc fee. Prices are also subject to safety inspection costs and reconditioning costs. Volkswagen of Wesley Chapel will provide a final out-the-door selling price when requested.
